The website redesign case study

Zero leads to twenty a month, from one rebuild.

Zero to 20leads a monthDoubledbookings
Ace Consulting Group, one rebuild
The problem

You already know it needs a redesign. Website enquiries dried up long ago.

The site shows its age

The site was built years ago and it shows. You hesitate before sending anyone the link.

Visitors leave without a trace

Visitors arrive and leave without a trace, whether you run a consultancy, a restaurant, a shop or a trades business.

A refresh that changed nothing

You have paid for a refresh before. It looked nicer for a month and changed nothing you could measure.

The solution

We rebuild the structure, the copy, the speed and the conversion tracking, so the new site ranks in Google, gets read and recommended by AI assistants, and books calls.

We run the work from our Larnaca HQ and Perth office for clients across the US, UK, Australia and Cyprus. Our last full rebuild took Ace Consulting Group from zero leads to twenty a month.

Fit

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • You already have a website, and you know it is not producing enquiries.
  • You run a consultancy, a restaurant, a shop or a trades business, and buyers check your site before they call.
  • You want the rebuild measured: rankings protected through the migration, enquiries counted every month.

It is not for you if

  • You want a fresh coat of paint with no change to structure, copy or speed.
  • Your current site already books more work than you can handle.
  • You are starting from scratch with no existing site, in which case website design is the better starting point.

If a full redesign is not what you need, we will say so on the call and point you at the smaller change that is.

The rebuild

What our website redesign agency actually rebuilds

A redesign that only changes the colours is decoration. As a website redesign company we rebuild the parts that decide whether a site produces enquiries, the same foundations that underpin every website design project we take on. Ranking is most of the point: Backlinko's organic CTR research found the top 3 Google search results get 54.4% of all clicks, and a rebuild is your one clean shot at getting there.

Site structure and page plan

Built around buyer searches

The new sitemap is built around what your buyers search, so every important service gets a page that can rank.

Copy rewritten around buyers

Written for buyers

Words that answer the questions your prospects arrive with, instead of carrying the old text across.

Core Web Vitals and speed

Scores Google measures

The technical scores Google measures, fixed in the build rather than patched afterwards.

Mobile-first build

Phone screen first

Rebuilt for the phone screen first, because that is where most of your visitors already are.

Landing pages for campaigns

For offers and ads

Dedicated pages for offers and ads, so paid traffic stops landing on the homepage and bouncing.

Conversion tracking wired in

Wired from day one

Forms, booking links and analytics set up from day one, so you can see enquiries and where each one came from.

SEO migration done properly

Every URL redirected

Every old URL redirected to its new home, so the rankings you have carry over instead of vanishing at launch.

Full ownership

Yours at handover

The site, the content and the analytics are yours outright when we hand over.

Outcomes

What changes after the rebuild

Enquiries you can count arriving from a site you are proud to send people to.

Rankings for the terms your buyers actually type, protected through the migration.

A calendar with booked calls on it, captured by the site while you work.

Numbers every month that show what the rebuild is producing.

Process

How a redesign runs

  1. 01

    Audit and plan

We work through our redesign checklist against your current site: traffic, rankings, Core Web Vitals, and which pages earn enquiries today.

    Outcome

You sign off a scope, sitemap and migration plan before anything is designed.

  2. 02

    Design

We design the new pages around conversion and your brand, and you see them before a line of code is written.

    Outcome

You approve the look before we build.

  3. 03

    Rebuild

Fast, mobile-first web development with the copy, redirects and tracking in place, then tested properly.

    Outcome

A finished site, reviewed with you and ready to switch over.

  4. 04

    Launch and report

We switch the site over, watch rankings and Core Web Vitals through the recrawl, and send you the numbers monthly: traffic, rankings and enquiries. You own everything at handover, and the ongoing care plan is optional, never a lock-in.

    Outcome

A live site and a report you can read in two minutes.

The difference

The usual way vs the did way

Without did.

  • A fresh coat of paint
  • Redesign the homepage and hope
  • Rankings lost in the switch
  • "It looks so much better"
  • Handover, then silence
  • Quote on request

With did.

  • A rebuilt engine
  • Rebuild the pages buyers search for
  • Every URL redirected before launch
  • Enquiries counted every month
  • Reported, measured, improved
  • Package structure published
The case

Why a rebuild pays.

Most businesses do not need a new website because the old one is ugly. They need one because it is invisible where buyers look and silent when they arrive.

That is a rebuild problem, and it is fixable. It is also worth fixing before another channel, because a rebuilt site keeps earning after the invoice is paid.

Some businesses need a brand-new site rather than a redesign, or a smaller change than either. We will tell you which on the call and point you the right way.

Somewhere today, a buyer opened your website, hesitated, and rang someone else.

FAQ

Questions.

How much does it cost to get a website redesign?

A website redesign typically runs from a few thousand for a focused rebuild of your key pages to five figures for a full rebuild with strategy, copy, SEO migration and conversion tracking included. The real driver of price is scope: how many pages are rebuilt, whether the copy is rewritten for you, whether the site changes platform, and how much technical work the migration needs. Be wary of prices that sound too good, because a cheap reskin that ignores structure and speed usually has to be done again within a year or two. We price redesigns as fixed projects from $1,999, so you know the number before any work starts, and the package structure is published on this page.

How do you redesign your website?

Start with evidence, not aesthetics. Audit what the current site does today: traffic, rankings, Core Web Vitals, and which pages produce enquiries. Then plan the new structure around what buyers search for, rewrite the copy around their questions, and rebuild mobile-first with speed and conversion tracking wired in. Map every old URL to a new one with redirects so rankings carry over, test before launch, and measure enquiries afterwards. That sequence is the website redesign checklist worth following: audit, plan, design, rebuild, redirect, launch, report. Skipping the audit or the redirects is where most redesigns quietly lose the traffic they were meant to grow.

Can AI redesign my existing website?

AI tools can generate layouts, rewrite copy and speed up parts of a redesign, and we use them where they genuinely help. What they cannot do is decide what your business needs the site to achieve, choose which pages deserve to exist, or take responsibility when rankings drop after launch. A redesign is mostly judgement: what to keep, what to cut, and what buyers in your sector actually search for. AI is a capable assistant and a poor architect. If a tool can fix your site on its own, that is a cheap experiment worth trying first. If it cannot, the rebuild needs a human plan behind it, with AI doing the labour rather than the thinking.

What's it called when you redo a website?

Most people call it a website redesign, though the industry uses a few overlapping terms. A redesign changes the look, structure and content of an existing site. A refresh is lighter, usually visual updates with no structural change. A rebuild or redevelopment replaces the underlying code and platform, and a migration moves the site to a new platform or domain. Serious projects usually combine them: Ace Consulting Group's project was a redevelopment plus a rebrand, which is what took their leads from zero to twenty a month. The label matters far less than the scope, so agree exactly which pages, platforms and content are changing before anyone starts work.

Will a website redesign hurt my SEO?

Only if the migration is handled carelessly. Rankings live on specific URLs, so when pages move or disappear without redirects, Google loses the trail and the traffic goes with it. A redesign done properly maps every old URL to its new home, keeps the content that already ranks, and improves speed and Core Web Vitals, which tends to help rankings rather than harm them. Expect some movement in the weeks after launch while Google recrawls the site. We track rankings and enquiries before and after every rebuild, so if anything dips you see it quickly and it gets fixed, instead of discovering the damage six months later.

How long does a website redesign take?

Four to eight weeks is typical for a business website, depending on how many pages are rebuilt, how ready your content is, and whether the site changes platform. A focused rebuild of a handful of money pages can be quicker, while a large site with new copy, new photography and a platform move takes longer. The slow parts are usually content and approvals, not the build itself, which is why we agree the scope and gather materials up front. You sign off the design before we build and the finished site before it goes live, so the timeline stays visible from day one instead of drifting.
